Yesterday passing through Belmont on our way back home, I saw a car lock its wheels and slid to a stop just a couple inches behind a car stopped at a redlight. Because of the way the light hit the 'slidding car' I couldn't see the driver but my husband could. He said the driver was on his cellphone. Well the light changed and as we turned left going past the car we could see he was STILL on the phone. Unbelievable.
I wish so much this practice would be against the law. The punishment should be a fine and loss of driver's liscense for one year - second time 2 years and third time 5 years. Kind of like driving drunk because it is just as dangerous.
