UKRAINE has paid homage to victims of the Chernobyl catastrophe 22 years after the world's worst nuclear incident.
About 100 Ukrainians, including top state officials, yesterday laid wreaths at the monument to the victims of Chernobyl in Kiev and lit candles in a religious service.
Millions of people suffered from radiation exposure and thousands of Ukrainians, Russians and Belarussians died casing the reactor in concrete.
